Welcome to the Home Page of Brian Daniels, Celtic Artist/Musician/Singer/Songwriter

Born and raised by the seaside village of Malahide, just north of Dublin in Ireland, Brian developed a love for adventure and spent many a day strolling the shores of the Irish Sea dreaming of the wonders that awaited him in the great big world that lay beyond.

At the age of 16, he and his brother Alan, and best friend “Dayo” Ingoldsby formed a rock band called Thee Unkind. Seeking adventure, the boys set sail in search of fame and fortune. Once landed in the Niagara region, Canada, reality soon set in and within a few years they were all married with children.

Dreams were put on hold as these three lads submerged themselves in fatherhood. But this did not stop Brian from writing and performing with his brother as The Bailey Brothers, delighting audiences with their Celtic tunes, banter and comedic charm.

Realizing that music alone would not put food on the table, Brian entered the local university and earned his B.Ph.Ed and teaching certification. It is assumed that during his years of teaching, many of his tunes were inspired by the adoring students in his classes.

Although he was always a prolific songwriter, it wasn’t until the early ‘80s that Brian was in a position to begin professionally, recording his vast library of songs.

In the early years of the new century, Brian was afflicted with Meniere’s disease which left him with only a fraction of hearing. After retraining his brain to sing as a hearing-impaired person, he is performing again.

It was during this “down” period that Brian’s creativity needed to be released and so began his career as an artist. His craft evolved into fabulous Celtic designs on glass.

Enjoy your trip through the mind of Brian Daniels.
